GBYF is trying out a summer conditioning program focused on building a strong athletic foundation. These are voluntary workouts, perfect if a kid is between sports or parents just need a kid out of the house to run off some steam!
Workouts will be held twice weekly on Wednesdays and Friday’s at Ariss Park from 5-7 pm beginning the first week of June. These will run throughout the summer until football season begins.
These sessions will be entirely non-contact and will concentrate on core body conditioning along with basic fundamental athleticism and position specific movements as they relate to skilled positions on a football field.
Depending on participation and interest as we near the start of football season we would like to incorporate a 7 on 7 style format that could carry over indoors over the winter to further develop.
These camp style workouts will provide a challenging yet fun environment for participants to grow both physical skills as well as begin to develop strong leadership traits.
